I used this IMCO Streamline 6800 two or three years and then I "lost" it. 3 weeks ago I've found it again in a table-drawer. I cleaned the soot away, replaced the old dirty wick with a new one from Zippo (Zippo wicks are much longer than IMCO original wicks) I pushed into the fuel chamber new clean inner filling and: the IMCO does its work still reliably. Great lighter!Reinhardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07656159308327445978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8939666320943790100.post-64316012275382084082010-09-28T12:58:29.833-07:002010-09-28T12:58:29.833-07:00The old clerks in a tobacco shop told me that flin...The old clerks in a tobacco shop told me that flints oxidize after a few years & don't work.

That could be what happened to the Bic's I left in my hiking kit.

Something to think about for preparedness.Greg in CAnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8939666320943790100.post-44389802409693482582010-09-27T14:42:15.011-07:002010-09-27T14:42:15.011-07:00Have the peanut lighter, another nice piece of eng...Have the peanut lighter, another nice piece of engineering.Greg in CAnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8939666320943790100.post-37371007188744843502010-09-25T12:03:12.868-07:002010-09-25T12:03:12.868-07:00If you don't want to worry about fuel leaking ...If you don't want to worry about fuel leaking out, or water leaking in, get a 'peanut' lighter:

http://countycomm.com/sslight.htm

It has an O-ring to keep water out and to prevent fuel from leaking out.Bill in NChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13183010395531193508noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8939666320943790100.post-59952460456802400272010-09-24T09:24:47.290-07:002010-09-24T09:24:47.290-07:00Ferfal,
