Video: Learning From a Shooting in Brazil

Take a look at how this goes down.
The criminal has a 38 revolver, the woman a 380ACP pistol.
She does well at staying calm and actually aiming, hits him in the back and he goes down, dies on the way to the hospital later on. The husband reacts very well and takes the bad guy's revolver.
In spite of staying calm (important) and a bit of luck on her side (criminal just ignoring her completely) she does have a poor grip on the gun and likely gets hit on the thumb with the slide. She jerks the gun back after that one shot she fires. Lucky for her, she didnt need another shot to stop the
threat.

Thank you for the video clip. Showing it to my Sister who is in her 60s and wanting her to be aware of the importance to be ready for such a moment. Hopefully, that will never happen, but if it does, one may have only one rehearsal to do it right.
I know she'll likely point to the lady and the little Chiwawa doggie, running out the door. Going to take her to a gun instruction class if she is willing.
Woman must know they may be the ONLY backup in such a incident.
I was struck by how lucky these two were and it could have ended much worse.
Like you wrote many times, the economy may tank anywhere, people get desperate to survive and turn to crime.
If it wasn't for you, I probably be without a prep plan myself.
I live in the US and see the changes going on now. Won't take much to make things ugly.
That other video you posted of the policeman in the car with his daughter parking in his garage at home with three invasion thugs attacking him was also instructive.
What struck me was how the officer could be of such presence of mind to keep cool and come out alive.
Sad we have to deal with such events....

Thanks for the video. Showing it to my women in my life to get them to learn how to shoot. Real helpful! Keep writing about women needing to get trained...nice chapter in your next book!
