The 2001Crisis

This is only part 1/12, but the video is pretty good and will save a lot of reading if you want to know what happened.

How dreadful.

Thanks for sharing this- I must read more. Any suggestions for best books?

And the film says people woke up on December 19th. What roused them?

My best to you and your family. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

If I may ask you for one more favor-

Could you please describe the lives of women and children now? I've read some of your other descriptions, but I'd love their viewpoints as well.

Hi Kate.
Sorry, I ‘ve got no good books. I know you’ll find several if you look in Amazon, but I can’t recommend one.
There is a movie though “The Take” (http://www.thetake.org/) which many seem to like.
“What roused them?”
Unemployment, poverty, an incompetent president, but mostly hunger combined with a president that could not control the situation.

Even today we have at least 25 kids under six starving to death each day, we have the worse crime ever and the economy isn’t growing as the gov. claims, but the difference with De La RĂșa ( the president during the crisis) is that the current gov. manages the “muzzle”, both the police and “piqueteros”( roadblockers who became a political force after the 2001 lootings).
Also, there no freedom of speech anymore here, you turn on the TV and everything you see if “filtered” by the gov., non cooperative journalists were fired.

That video was great and quite insightful.

After watching that video I'd say that the Argentinian Police should be treated like nazi occupiers.

FerFAL, we spoke briefly on Glocktalk. I stumped upon your article by coincidence. Shocking to say the least, and inspiring!!!

Your article has changed my life completely!!! Without reading your article, I would still be living in blind.

Thank you FerFAL, sincerely!!!
