Happy Easter Everyone! For many of us, when the going
gets tough the spiritual fortitude provided by our faith keeps us going.
If you get the chance, try going to Mass today. I’m
just back from it and feel great. Its been some time since I last went to
Church. I’ve been neglecting my spiritual life a bit lately but I’ll try to
address that in the future.
I’m one of those Catholics that feels he has enough
faith, prays frequently, but for some reason just doesn’t go to Church much. God is everywhere and
we don’t need to be anywhere specific to pray, right? Other than stepping into
Church every now and then and thanking God, at times I’ve spent years without
going to Mass. Well, I don’t know why but going to Church today just felt great,
and from now on I’ll try to go every Sunday.
If you’ve been neglecting your spiritual life lately
as well this would be a good time to be honest and see where it may be
improved.
I leave you this blessing;
I leave you this blessing;
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
-An Old Irish Blessing
Have a great day everyone!

Im that you attended Mass. Just remember, it is both a precept of the Church, and the Third Commandment, to Honor the Sabbath Day, i.e. Attend Mass Every Sunday, It is a mortal sin to do otherwise, making one ineligible to receive Communion.
Would you only exercise twice a year and consider yourself in shape?
Guilty of the same sin. Many Catholics including myself are what some Evangelicals call Christers: Christmas and Easter Catholics. It's funny but true.
In any case, I made my way to church on Good Friday and Easter after a 6 month absence. It felt good too. As the head of my family, I feel a responsibility to acquaint my children with the Lord just like my parents did to me. I'll be the one accountable if they stray from the Lord's path.

This is one of the happiest posts about Easter that I've seen! Thanks for sharing FerFAL.
