Rulers know to keep enemies close -- and questionable friends/allies even closer.
Interesting argument re why Trump is acting more friendly to the Democrats --- and it isn't for the benefit of the Democrats:

Machiavelli would have grinned.

Thanks for keeping on with these political videos.

While I can't honestly say that I enjoy them very much, I appreciate that you're doing them. This is important stuff, and IMO overlooked too often in survivalist circles.

And yes, it really shouldn't be the greatest or worst day of your life. I found it pretty disheartening that someone so unpleasant could be elected president, and I have grave concerns about the impact on the the US and the world... but it's not the end of America as we know it, and the wheel will keep turning. The acceptance speech makes that pretty apparent.

I dont think it was the blacks and latinos that switched votes for him. Most reports say it was the untapped vote that swung it his way - the millions that have never voted before because they didnt see the point finally had a reason to.
And as for Trumps statements were a careful plan... really? I think the opposite. He said whatever came into his head without even contemplating the ramifications. He didnt care. He didnt really think he was going to win. he doesnt have a plan now that he has. Pense has already taken over filling the cabinet positions. Hello status quo! Trump doesnt know enough politicians to fill it with his choices, he needs help, washington-insider help, and its coming.

Where I would disagree with you is that the MSM was NEVER promoting Trump as a SERIOUS candidate and took him only LITERALLY. His voters took him Seriously but never literally.

1) Clarification: Trump gained the Republican nomination by doing everything but peeing into the coffee cups of
major Republican leaders. He needs Democratic allies because a LOT of leaders in his own Party will now have the knives out--
and the US Senate is known for allowing even one Senator to obstruct change (known as putting a hold on proposed legislation).

1) Current Senators who got slapped around in the Republican primary:
Lindsey Graham
Marco Rubio
Ted Cruz
Rand Paul

2) Plus several Republican Governors and former Senators/Governors with major influence in the
Republican Party and on Senate campaigns in their state:

John Kasich
Chris Christie
Jeb Bush (former)
Mike Huckabee (former)
Jim Gilmore (former)
Rick Santorum (former)
Rick Perry (former)
Scott Walker
Bobby Jindal
George Pataki (former)

3) Writer Gore Vidal --son of a US Senator -- best described the US politican's mindset:
"It is not enough to succeed --- others must fail".

All is not sweetness and cupcakes in the Democratic Party either. Many are fed up with the wealthy owners of the Party turning the Party into a two-faced fraud. As Bernie Sanders notes:
http://www.businessinsider.com/bernie-sanders-democrats-white-working-class-voters-2016-11

The money quote:
"Some figures on the left, such as Sanders and Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, have offered an olive branch to Trump since his upset victory last week, noting the deep dissatisfaction with Washington's leaders that boosted Trump's candidacy. "

heh heh

Meanwhile, back at the ranch....

Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner has just executed a Game of Thrones extermination of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and his allies , ensuring they will be shut out of power in the new Administration::

http://www.bloomberg.com/politics/articles/2016-11-15/trump-transition-stalls-as-kushner-said-to-oust-christie-allies

An excerpt:
"As U.S. Attorney for New Jersey, Christie in 2004 prosecuted Kushner’s father, Charles, for tax evasion, witness tampering and illegal campaign contributions. A plea agreement led to a two-year prison sentence. Kushner is believed to have been one of the leading voices who kept Christie off Trump’s presidential ticket."

The Democrats and New Jersey Mafia gaze at the carnage with awe.

"People should either be caressed or crushed. If you do them minor damage they will get their revenge; but if you cripple them there is nothing they can do. If you need to injure someone, do it in such a way that you do not have to fear their vengeance.”
--Machiavelli
