Why are Preppers so Angry?

I don't think that most Preppers are particularly angry. "Negative" is probably a better word.

But why shouldn't they be angry? Civilization as we know it in the West is being destroyed-essentially, being overrun by parasites

Those who label themselves as "Preppers" should realize that their extreme views and rants are off-putting to some people thus the sound and helpful advice and tips they have to offer are overlooked or ignored. It's fine if you have those views but it isn't necessary to trumpet them 24/7. You can be a prepared person regardless of what political ideology you believe in.

It's been like that forever...Was there a time where "civilization" was not "ending"? Where is the thirty years war? What about the 100 years war? Every page of history have its MAJOR war! Remember the "Chinese Warring States" period when after a battle, fully one million soldiers were buried alive, the Great war and WW II with it's hundreds of millions murdered? I too is accused of being dyspeptic and ridiculously negative but beside muslims slaughtering each others like they've done for a thousand years, this period is more calm that the sargassus sea...Hussein Obama is a crooked moron? When was it than an US President was not a crooked moron?

I think "angry" was intended as a perjorative. The question might as well have been why are preppers so paranoid or so stupid? A lot of people are angry with the way polticians have destroyed economies and taken away rights. Not just preppers but even those not involved or aware of politics. But if you ask the typical unaware tweaker why he is angry it serves no political end. But ask a prepper why they are angry and pretty much any answer will serve to make the prepper community look like they are a fringe group of nut cases.
