You should watch Part 2 as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08fZQWjDVKE
This part of the lecture was delivered by a former cop.
So glad you posted this, THIS is a great video.
The guy is a professor at a law school within a small Christian college,,, the school where most of Bush's not-ready-for-primetime Dept of Justice winers came from. However, this video is great. Part 2 is the response by a police officer -- who backs up everything the professor said.
What this video is really about, is recognizing the officer's sole objective (to build case material), that although they're human they are trained to do this on auto-pilot (so don't take it personally and don't be intimidated), and to know and confidently assert your rights.
This was a genuine wake up call for me, and I am an old duffer of 3 score and 10, but having never been accused of a crime, and being innocent, I would likely have jabbered like a magpie. But forewarned is forearmed, and after viewing both videos, without my lawyer present, there is now no way I would ever talk to the police under any circumstances.

That’s great material but it’s copyrighted, sorry.
